The recovery process can extract speech or conversations from hours or days prior to the posted content being captured.

This does require the ability to find content made in proximity or within certain time frames to each other.  As more content meets that requirement, the number of useful things "extractable" can increase.

Every bit of audio ever recorded - even from locations called "soundproof" - has background noise.  It may or may not contain:

  • Shouting or yelling (heard or perceived, easily).
  • Normal speech (heard or perceived).
  • Whispering (heard or perceived, with difficulty).
  • Subvocalizations (which should never be heard or perceived).

Noise can make it more difficult for the human ear to "pick out" faint sounds.  Computer software doesn't have that limitation when enough "clips" are available.  The "more noise the better" with the right computer software.

A "drawback" then becomes an "advantage".

Even an individual's usernames or passwords - never spoken out loud - are able to be heard, identified, or perceived.

You may not believe in such "fairy tales".  That belief puts everyone at risk.

Which companies manage or own "social media" sites with user-generated content?
