Those who specialize in the legal system receive compensation for their services.  Occasionally, a client may balk at the price tag or bill.

There are many honest individuals who are lawyers.  This is not directed at them.  There may also be honest lawyers who use the technique described below.

We don't know of any.

Should a lawyer be confronted over the phone with tough questions about their bill and exhibit the behaviours below, they may be dishonest:

  • When confronted with tough questions (or those they weren't prepared for) you're told:
    • "just a minute".
    • "one second".
    • "hold on".
  • After a brief moment they're back with renewed confidence in their voice for no discernable reason.
  • They seem completely unconcerned about whether you'll agree to pay their bill or not - it's already been decided.

During the time you spent waiting, a "play" button was pressed on their side of the call.  Some believe it a "record" button.  That's backward but we understand their desire for privacy.

The track being played would pass as noise under examination.  That's essentially what it is.

Flattening noise into recognizable speech means you may hear variations of the messages below.

"...your lawyer knows what's best for you..."

"...your lawyer knows just what to do..."

"...your lawyer has a way with words..."

"...will make your problem go away..."

"...will make your trouble disappear..."
