Those types of expressions take time to reveal. That's one reason a photo can't capture them.
Our point is this:
- "Individuals wearing a smug expression are aware of it but don't realize it."
This goes hand-in-hand with:
- "Looking down one's funnier or smarter nose to mock others happens right before the other half kicks one's legs out from under them."
