#147. Google now knows your computer's name when you sign into Chrome.

And it still knows your computer's name if you switch to another browser while signed in.  Do Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or any other browser behave this way?

That would be a terrible idea.

Some percentage of users give their computer a name with significance.  Significance to them.
