#144. Treating health conditions is more profitable than preventing them.

Unfortunately, we all share fault for this.  Who shall receive the most blame?  The greedy.

  1. Individuals have enough treatment options that difficult or early decisions from unpleasant choices are postponed.
    • Prevention measures aren't adopted early or often.
    • Questionable technologies or practices are accepted as safe before demonstrated otherwise.
  2. Individuals having health insurance care less about cost for the insurance provider than availability.
  3. Individuals don't make it a priority to vote for candidates determined to curb industry practices.
How can a pharmaceutical company raise prices again and again on something which costs the same or less to manufacture?

Who's supposed to stop them?
