There are countless applications waiting for a halfway intelligent (or not prone to insanity) artificial intelligence.
Versions which exist today are vastly over-hyped and not that interesting. Getting over-excited by their abilities at this point is embarrassing.
Being frightened by current capabilities - enough to call for a ban or moratorium - is moronic behavior.
Have you checked Google Search or Microsoft Bing results lately? Do they work better now than with previous algorithms depending on the use case?
The situation has one of those "giving a private entity time to pull ahead" feels to it.
We wouldn't be surprised if this allows a private or public entity further advantage under a program funded with tax-payer money.
That would be your money.
Remove the signatures from whatever media they were applied and stop being so open to suggestion.
