#210. No one would be unhappy with a shorter workday.

It doesn't take a math major to follow the logic - only a physicist to unconvincingly explain it.

  • 24 hours = 86400 seconds
  • 8 hours = 28800 seconds
  • 24 hours (86400 seconds) / 8 hours (28800 seconds) = 3 hours (10800 seconds) [the ratio]
  • 23 hours (82800 seconds) and 59 seconds = 82859 seconds
  • Keeping the desired ratio of 3 hours (10800 seconds) unchanged and solving for the new "hours in a workday) gives a value of  7.672 hours (27619.666 seconds).
  • Ta Da! or D.a T.a! = a shorter workday

We've shown our work for full credit.

We will stop once the day is 1 full second slower.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Yes, we are going to be in a lot of trouble.

More information will be provided.
