#108. The prisons aren't the problem - it's the penitentiaries.

Calling every place of confinement for serious crime a "prison" and every "prison a problem" hides one bird with or without bothering the other.

The penitentiary concept is one of deterrence or repentance.  Their existence is an open threat to prevent future crime.  It's purpose is for repentance over the incarcerated's failures.

Maintaining one or more isolated buildings and staff is expensive.  Running a low end bed and breakfast for residents while keeping them safe adds to it.  Why bother when the incarcerated can choose not to repent at all?

You're asking the right or wrong question.

We don't mind providing incentive to look further but trying to explain what happened is an entire blog in itself.

Do we have an understanding?

I'm delighted we're able to understand each other.

   1. Individuals share what they know or learn:

  • Physical isolation can't completely prevent it.
  • Sound of every frequency would also have to be isolated to prevent basic communication.
  • Even radio frequencies would need to be blocked.  Bluetooth, WiFi, and cellular fall under that but creativity can make use of any frequency available.

   2. Penitentiaries in general are older buildings and expensive to maintain:
  • When they fall into disrepair and start crumbling it can expose metal reinforcement in walks, floors, or ceilings.
  • You already know what happens to any conductive object when wireless signals from TV, radio, or other technologies are present (it's explained in National Security Secret #1).
  • When the signal received is an oscillating signal it will be absorbed and re-radiated as a weaker signal with some energy converted to heat and some to an oscillating current.
  • You may want to find an electrical engineer to validate the next statements:
    • Certain types of exposed conductive materials in the presence of oscillating current can passively transmit signals carrying every detail of a cell and it's occupants in real time.
    • With enough conductive material exposed those signals can themselves resonate or oscillate creating passive signal repeaters.

    3. Human beings are consciously or unconsciously able to sense enough details from those signals to stay aware (in a general sense) of others presence:

  • This was considered common knowledge for decades when radio use grew around the world.
  • The degree of awareness depended on the individual but could become an ability with practice.

That should be enough incentive to peak your interest or bore you to sleep.

But know this:

It's the crumbling penitentiaries that were the problem. Those incarcerated were discovered to be consistently anticipating things they couldn't have known about. They were seemingly able to give tips or teach each other tricks without ever meeting face to face. That was found to include individuals isolated in separate buildings as well.

Curious now as to why "the prisons are or are not the problem" with spreading crime?

More information WILL NOT be provided.
