Neither of those ranges is ideal for extended periods of time. And a home or workplace with multiple devices with displays and antennas can hide the actual source of problems.
For reference, the human body in a standing position resonates at around 7.5 Hz. In a sitting position it's around 4 to 6 Hz. Our eyeballs resonate at around 19 Hz.
Take a look at the frequencies measured in a local home:
- Using an Android phone
- A free app named Resonance.
To summarize the problem in one statement: there's too much sound present at low frequencies.
