Psychology is amazing.

Has anyone shown more than simple curiosity in your tax statements, business transactions, relationships, etc.?

Just casually mention how their:
  • Due diligence.
  • Help in service to others.
  • Interest in what doesn't make sense.
...might lead "others" to believe they've gotten "old" or gone "wacko" or become a "nut job".

We call that intimidation or trying to hide "shady dealings".

It's also a warning sign associated with bullies.

Our advice:
  • "Never give a bully what they want.  It only makes it worse for their next target."

PARTIAL DISCLOSURE: We are trying (and not doing the best job) to pay off a tax installment plan with the IRS.  Our vehicle wasn't licensed or tagged which led to about 15 parking tickets that need to be paid or resolved (also not doing the best job).  We are not up to date on making credit card payments.  We have more than one year of income tax filings that haven't been made.  We are not proud of any part of that.  This does not conclude things we are trying (and not doing the best job) to clean up personally and privately.  Double standard?  You're free to decide.

We are technically throwing stones from a glass house - not the wisest of behaviors.

Should any be thrown back... we only did it to ourselves.
